Yoko Takirai nel 2002 fonda, a Firenze, la ditta di gioielli contemporanei Takirai Design. Poco dopo si unisce Pietro Pellitteri, insieme iniziano un percorso di ricerca creando gioielli di design innovativi. Le loro collezioni sono presenti in numerose mostre e fiere come: Loot MAD about jewelry nel Museum of Arts and Design a New York, Sieraad International Jewellery Art Fair ad Amsterdam, 27th Japan Jewellery Art Exhibition in The Ueno Royal Museum a Tokyo, e Premio Fondazione Cominelli per il Gioiello Contemporaneo in Italia. Nel 2007, le loro opere entrano a far parte della collezione del Museo degli Argenti di Palazzo Pitti a Firenze.

In 2002, Yoko Takirai founded Takirai Design in Florence, a company specializing in contemporary jewellery designs. Shortly afterwards Pietro Pellitteri joined to get part of it, together they began to create innovative jewellery. Their collections have been exhibited at numerous shows and exhibitions such as: Loot MAD about jewelry in the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Sieraad International Jewellery Art Fair in Amsterdam, 27th Japan Jewellery Art Exhibition in The Ueno Royal Museum in Tokyo, and Premio Fondazione Cominelli for the Contemporary jewellery in Italy. In 2007 their creations contributed to the collection exhibited at the Museo degli Argenti di Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
